Statutory Financial Statement Audit

Independent examination of annual financial statements for companies that must file audited accounts under Taiwan company and tax rules.

Who it is for

Private limited companies, subsidiaries of overseas groups, and growing SMEs in Taiwan that need audited annual accounts for filings, banks, or shareholders.

What you receive

An independent auditor’s report on whether the financial statements present fairly, in all material respects, and a management letter covering control observations from fieldwork.

Included in scope

  • Risk assessment and planning based on your industry and transaction profile
  • Testing of revenue, purchases, inventory, payroll, and significant balances
  • Review of accounting estimates, related-party disclosures, and subsequent events
  • Draft and final auditor’s report aligned to the applicable reporting framework
  • Closing meeting with management to walk through findings

Outside this engagement

  • Bookkeeping or preparation of the financial statements themselves
  • Tax return filing or tax representation before the authorities
  • Continuous internal audit staffing or outsourced controller services

How the work proceeds

  1. Scoping call to confirm entity structure, year-end, and reporting framework
  2. Engagement letter and information request list
  3. Interim and year-end fieldwork
  4. Review, partner sign-off, and issuance of the report

Timeline and location

Typically six to ten weeks from receipt of a complete trial balance and supporting schedules, depending on entity size and readiness.

Fieldwork at your premises in Taiwan when ledgers and stock counts require presence; working-paper review from our Changhua office.

How to prepare

Provide draft financial statements or a closed trial balance, bank confirmations, inventory count sheets, contracts for material transactions, and access to the person who owns each account area.

Constraints

We cannot accept engagements where independence is impaired or where management declines to provide written representations.

Fees

Fixed engagement fee quoted after scoping; fees reflect entity complexity, locations, and whether prior-year working papers are available.

See our fee guidance for typical ranges and estimate factors.

Request a scoping discussion so we can outline timing before your filing deadline.
